Tariffs
Injection molds (HS 8480.71) enter Canada duty-free under the Customs Tariff. Molded plastic parts are classified by the specific product HS code. Canada applies Most-Favoured-Nation (MFN) tariff rates to Chinese-origin goods — generally lower than US Section 301 rates. We provide correct HS codes on all commercial invoices.
Payment
Invoices in CAD, USD, or EUR. Wire transfer. Standard terms: 50% tooling deposit, 50% on T1 approval. Production: 30% deposit, 70% before shipment.
4. Case Study: Medical Diagnostic Device Housing
